TEHRAN – Deputy Interior Minister Hossein Zolfaqari on Monday underlined the need for intelligence sharing between Iran and Turkey to combat smuggling and terrorism.
Zolfaqari made the remarks in a meeting with his Turkish counterpart Muhterem Ince, who arrived in Tehran earlier on Monday.
“Iran and Turkey had very good achievements in fighting terrorism. The two countries have acted well in the face of security threats and a good regional progress has been made that if the trend continues, there will be more stability and peace in the region,” he said, IRNA reported.
